Sony D-NE1 Removing Upper Lid for Repair

In order to repair the Sony D-NE1, one first has to remove the upper lid, and starts by removing the two easily accessible screws near the hinges within the CD compartment. Removing the screws allows one to remove the metal guides, which are essentially clips that prevent the lid hinges from coming off. There is a spring on one side of the hinge, and that side usually does not detach straight away, however the other side does. I was then able to carefully remove the lid without breaking it.
