Prinztronic Asset Keyboard Assembly

The PRINZTRONIC ASSET keyboard assembly consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) with the contacts. Above this, there are plastic keys, which are spring loaded keeping them pushed up.

Keyboard PCB

Removing the plastic keys reveals the PCB and the contacts. This part usually gathers dust and requires cleaning with an electrical contact cleaner.

Power Switch Contacts

This shows the contacts for the power slide-switch. This one had a lot of dust on the contacts, but after cleaning it, it was as good as new.

Spring Assembly

This is the underside of the plastic key assembly. Each key has a spring to push it back up.

When you open this part of the keyboard assembly, be careful, as the loaded springs will come out flying!
