Canon AV-1 Flash Photography

The Canon AV-1 has a hot shoe socket for attaching a flash unit. It is compatible with the following flashguns.

• Canon Speedlite 011A
• Canon Speedlite 155A
• Canon Speedlite 166A
• Canon Speedlite 177A
• Canon Speedlite 188A
• Canon Speedlite 199A

Set the aperture value on the flashgun, and set the same value on the lens barrel. The flashgun will always provide the correct amount of light to provide the best exposure.
