Canon EOS 300 How to Load Film
Loading a film is very simple; however, it is interesting to understand how the film transport system works. Once you load a new 35-millimeter film cartridge, the system will wind the entire content onto the take-up spool. Then, each time you take a picture, one frame of used film rewinds back into the cartridge.
- Turn the Command Dial to any setting except <L>.
- Open the film compartment door by sliding up the lock button.
- Insert the film cartridge as shown in the photographs.
- Pull the film leader up to the orange mark, and close the door.
The system also senses DX coded film and automatically sets the appropriate ISO speed. There is also a facility to rewind the film from a mid point, if you intend not to use all of it.
