Zenith Transoceanic radios are often for sale on eBay and they are highly popular often leading to a bidding war. Some of the popular models are G500, A600, B600, G500, H500, and Clipper "Model 8G005". There is also the 1000, D7000-Y, and the rare and desirable D7000-2 (twin meters), which is usually very expensive.

The Zenith Royal 3000-1 was a handcrafted high-end radio with one of the best circuit designs, which you will not find anywhere else. With radios this old, you can expect pitting of the chrome, and scratched paint from the tuning dial, however even so it is highly desirable due to its sensitivity and warm sound.

These radios were for use in ships and sea fearing vehicles therefore corrosion and pitting of the chrome was common. It has chrome trim, and metallic paint around the radio dial, which looks nice when new.

Occasionally you may find a radio that has missing AM bands, however it is not always a case of faulty transistors, and many other things that can go wrong with a circuit. If you are lucky, it might simply require replacement transistors, however replacement parts and equivalents are extremely difficult to find.
