Beats EP ML992ZM/A Removing Ear Pads
The Beats EP headphone ear pads are stuck with double-sided adhesive tape. It is a very thin ring along the edge; hence a thin stiff object such as a plastic card, or metal ruler could be used to separate it away. The photographs here may be useful if you need to know exactly where the two halves are joined.
When you buy new ear pads they usually come with new adhesive tape stuck to one side. Hence it is a good idea to remove any broken tape and clean the surfaces. In my case, I was going to wash the pads in disinfectant and then attach them back to the front panel with hot-melt glue from a glue gun. Consequently, I removed all of the broken adhesive tape.
