Sennheiser HD-202 Drivers

The secret to the Sennheiser HD-202 is in their large 40 mm drivers consisting of powerful neodymium magnet and ultra-lightweight coil and diaphragm. With large diaphragms like these, you can expect very good bass definition. They have used various engineering tricks to make the coil ultra thin and thereby produce a voice coil assembly that has a wide dynamic range. I was very lucky to find a pair with a burnt coil and therefore was able to open one for further testing.
