Microphone Extending Mechanism

The Razer Kraken Pro V1 has a unidirectional microphone with frequency response 100 Hz to 10 kHz, signal-to-noise ratio 52 dB, and sensitivity -40 dB ±4 dB. The Pro V2 has the same frequency response however; signal-to-noise ratio is 55 dB, and sensitivity -38 dB ±3 dB. Electret condenser microphone (ECM) technology is one of the most sensitive and widely used today. If your microphone is not working, then the first place to check is the in-line mute button, which many people may have forgotten about! I suppose nobody reads the manual these days, and they usually chuck it over their shoulders... manuals sch-manuals...

Mechanism

The Razer Kraken Pro extendible microphone mechanism consists of a flexible tube that curls into the housing. The tip of the tube houses the ECM and its wire passes through it and then connects to the small circular board, where all the wires seem to converge. It is an ingenious mechanism, and appears to be reliable. I should not expect any faults to occur with it.
