Razer Kraken Pro V1 Vs. Razer Kraken Pro V2
The Razer Kraken Pro (V1) is an analogue gaming headset manufactured in China during the period 2012 to 2015 by the Razer Corporation. It is not to be confused with the similar looking green Razer Kraken Pro V2, which was an improved model that became available from 2016 onwards. The photographs shown in this article are of the earlier model RZ04-0087. The Razer Kraken Pro had a plastic outer case, mass of 300 g, 40 mm drivers, and maximum power handling capacity of 50 mW. However the improved Kraken Pro V2, has a metal frame, 322 g mass, 50 mm drivers, and maximum power handling capacity of 30 mW. It also has improved frequency response of 12 Hz to 28 kHz, braided cable, bigger ear pads/cushions, and greater bass range. This is a multi-page article with review, repair, and disassembly notes.
