Bowmar Power Pack Rebuild

Rebuilding a simple rechargeable power pack using individual NiCad cells requires some battery holders. Ideally, the holders must be as thin as possible because the space inside the calculator is tight.

I managed to purchase some holders on eBay, and already had some rechargeable cells that I could use. Since the original cells were NiCad, it is better to use that type for the replacements. All six cells must be identical and of the same type.

As you can see, the cells connected in series, and the excess wire trimmed off. A piece of card with some tape maintained their arrangement.
