EX-System CdS and Meter Upgrade

The EX-60 and EX-100 offerings of the Gakken EX-System do not come with a meter or CdS sensor; however, looking at the inside of these units, we can see that there is provision to install them as upgrade parts. I do not know if the Gakken company of Japan is still selling the upgrade parts, however if you work for their firm then please reply with an email if you have more information.

As you can see, the meter cut out has a blanking panel fixed by two screws. If you had the upgrade parts, then you could add a meter in this place.

CdS Sensor

There is also provision for attaching a CdS sensor. This is a photo-resistor, which senses light. It is the same technology as the commonly found ORP12 light-dependent resistor (LDR).
