Gakken EX-System IC AMP Module

The IC AMP module is detachable from the main chassis of the EX-System. The module consists of a loudspeaker, volume control, LM386N audio amplifier IC, and circuit board. It is in the same style as the denshi blocks with metal terminals for making the electrical connections.

An audio amplifier IC produces much louder sound and greater amplification, and therefore it has many benefits over discrete transistor circuits. In this kit, there are many radio circuits employing this IC for audio amplification, and consequently the radios are louder and better quality compared to other designs found elsewhere.
