DT830D Box and Packaging

Box

The DT830D Digital Multimeter comes in this lovely little box with a glossy finish and interesting colouring. I am in favour of minimal packaging, and the minimal use of plastic and paper resources. All of it ends up in the bin anyway and therefore a minimalist use is worthy of mention as it saves the environment, and saves your money.

There are always charlatans who complain if they did not receive a 100-page manual with their £2.50 meter. They also complain if they did not receive enough packaging, and complain if there was too much use of plastic in the packaging. You just cannot please them! If you buy a high-end meter, then sure, you will get a 100-page manual, but only 5 pages will be in English, and the rest will be in other languages. Since I do not want to read it in other languages why should I have to pay for the paper and postage of the other 95 pages!

Plastic Sealed

My one came sealed and wrapped in plastic like this.

Probes and wire.

Side view of the box.

On the box, it says 0.5 % basic accuracy.

Packaging

My one came by Royal Mail in a Jiffy bag, so it must have cost the seller at least £2.70 to post this! Where is the profit in this?
