Bluetooth Audio Configuration
Bluetooth audio configuration is very simple on Windows 7 when using the Bluetooth CSR 4.0 Dongle to connect to generic Bluetooth Speakers or headsets. Providing your peripheral device drivers load correctly, as show in the previous pages, there is very little configuration required in the Sound Control Panel. As you can see, Windows 7 shows Bluetooth Audio Renderer as a headset even though it is a speaker. Once the device drivers for it load, Windows will automatically make it the default device and therefore it will have a green tick next to it. From henceforth, all PC audio will stream through the Bluetooth Audio Renderer.
The Bluetooth Audio Renderer (BAR) device appears in this window automatically, and nothing that you can do here can make it appear. If your peripheral device drivers do not load, then you will not see the audio renderer in this window.
If you find that, the audio quality is poor and not to your liking, then you can adjust the audio render level in this window in the properties section.
In the advanced tab, there is the option to select between CD quality and DVD quality audio. How well this performs depends upon whether your Bluetooth speakers can manage to process a faster data rate.
