CSR8510 A10

Bluetooth CSR 4.0 Dongle uses the Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) chipset and drivers, and has the BlueCore CSR8510 A10 baseband IC manufactured by the Qualcomm Corporation. This is an extremely good quality chipset and therefore this dongle is very good value for money. The IC is a high-sensitivity single-chip radio solution for 2.4 GHz Bluetooth communication with 20 m to 50 m range. It has EDR up to 3 Mbps, and supports USB 2.0 interface. Bluetooth V4.0 was available in 2012 (approx) and had the low energy operation feature allowing five such connections simultaneously. It provides HCI mode operation with full Bluetooth stack, and HID proxy mode for stackless operation. Its built-in baseband processor runs the HCI firmware stack, which includes GAP, and L2CAP protocols.
