Sony Clie PEG-T625C Hard Reset

The Sony Clie hard reset option erases ALL data and returns the unit to factory condition. It erases everything and therefore one should not perform this unless one is selling the unit and does not want the new owner to see private data. The hard reset option involves pressing the reset switch at the back of the unit whilst simultaneously holding down the power button.

The stylus has a built-in tip, which can be used by unscrewing the barrel. If you do not have the original stylus, then a straightened paper clip also works for pressing the reset button.

1. Hold down the power button on the front of the unit
2. Simultaneously, press the reset switch at the back of the unit
3. The LCD shows a warning that you are about to erase all data
4. Press the upper half of the scroll button to continue and erase all data
