20V PSU Build Soldering

Track side

To solder this 20 V power supply board, the first step was to clean the copper tracks. I do not like using expensive chemicals and instead simply washed it with some washing-up liquid and a green scouring sponge. For the solder, I use Omega (for asthamatics). As you can see, the solder flows nicely when you use the right tools.

Voltage Regulator

When soldering the voltage regulator, I usually keep its leads full length because it makes life easier if in the future I wish to add a heatsink. Ideally the heatsink should be above the board, because there are links on the board that might get in the way.
