Bush PSR358 inside Look
The Bush PSR358 cassette player would have been hand assembled and as you can see, a lot of work went into making it. The wires from the battery terminals, motor, and audio head, would have required soldering at various points on the PCB.
This was a hand-assembled product, and you can see, a lot of time has gone into making it.
Belt Drive
They placed the motor very close to the capstan flywheel so that the required belt would be small. A common problem with this player was that the drive belt would slip due to insufficient tension. Replacing the belt with a slightly smaller one usually corrects the problem.
