Bush PSR358 PCB Design
The Bush PSR358 printed circuit board (PCB) design and assembly is extremely chaotic, yet amazingly, it all works well. The PCB shows signs of many changes and revisions, where parts of it is no longer used.
With a hand assembly, it is always like this, because component suppliers can change, and they have to make modifications on a live production.
Fast Build
In this photograph, you can see a fixed resistor connected underneath a preset terminal. As a result, they had to raise one end of the preset.
Components
The radio section has plenty of wax to secure the tuning coils in place. The components look a little busy with long leads bent in every direction.
Audio IC
The audio IC does not have any markings on it, but clearly, it is a combined stereo preamplifier and headphone power amplifier IC.

This is Toshiba TA8122AF radio IC. The Sony Corporation used this on the Sony WM-BF22 Walkman that I reviewed earlier, so please follow the link if you want to know more about it.
