Panasonic RQ-SX75 Opening for Repair

Although opening the Panasonic RQ-SX75 front cover is simple, there are other aspects such as fitting the link plate to the intermediate ornament that can be difficult for beginners. The intermediate ornament is the centre silver frame of the unit, whilst the link plate is the part connected to the hinge of the cassette compartment lid.

When you remove the front cover of this unit, be sure not to open the cassette compartment, otherwise the link plate and the intermediate ornament will separate and for some of you it will take seconds to install, whilst for the rest, the terms of your natural lives.

As you can see, the intermediate ornament, which is the plastic grey frame has a pair of slots, which are extremely thin and small and difficult to see with the eyes alone.

As you can see in the image above, the metal hinge part (link plate) then slides into the slots.
