Denon AVR-1610 No Sound

No Sound

Providing the Denon AVR-1610 receiver amplifier is not in standby or protect mode, and there is no sound produced, then please check the following.

  • Check connection of the input device
  • Check connection of the speakers
  • Make sure you select the correct input source
  • Is the master volume control set too low?
  • Is the mute mode ON?
  • Are headphones connected?
  • Are the digital signals compatible?
  • Does the assignment of the connectors and input modes match?

No DTS Sound

  • If there is no DTS sound, then check whether the DVD players audio output setting is configured to bitstream mode.
  • Check if the amplifiers decode mode is set to PCM
