Sony TA-VE170 Inside

It is a large single piece motherboard and this is the audio side. The other side has the PSU circuitry. It is a double-sided PCB, and on this side, you can see many of the links.

Here is a pair of electrolytic capacitors. This is the main pair for smoothing the power supply.

These are the speaker and power transistor protection relays. These will engage only when there are no shorts or anomalous readings across the power rails and the speaker terminals.

The relay on this side is for the front speaker channels.

These are the power transistor ICs fitted to the heatsink.
