Olympus Trip 35 Film Compartment

The Olympus Trip 35 has a well designed film compartment, and this is an important aspect of a camera as this is where the film is exposed. A roll of film is tightly packed and has a tendency to curl when it is out of the cartridge. A special pressure plate flattens a small part of the film, which goes over the exposure chamber. This ensures that the surface is uniform and the light exposes the area evenly.

Locking Latch

This shows the spring-loaded metal locking latch at the side of the door. The latch design is very simple and reliable.

Pressure Plate

This shows the spring loaded pressure plate.

Sprocket Gears
