Samwa YX-1000A Fuse Modification

As an engineer, I always keep a box of recycled parts, and happened to have some fuse holder clips. I figured it might be useful here, as it is extremely simple to install. All I had to do was to cut the link that was already there and use a part of it to solder to the fuse holder clips. I installed it with a 500 mA fuse, which should protect it from over current situations.

The nice thing about this meter is the plastic box with plenty of space. I can easily imagine making a single transistor circuit to fit inside it, perhaps to provide signal strength from a satellite dish. Perhaps I could install a buzzer for continuity testing, perhaps even an ORP12 light-dependent resistor (LDR) to make a light meter... The possibilities are endless.
