Opening the Palm V Case

Opening the Palm V back cover involves heating the glue that secures it. The procedure is the same as that shown for the Palm Vx. The back cover is made of anodised aluminium and conducts heat very well. Hence, a very small amount of heat applied to the edges with a hair dryer melts the glue.

Removing the Front Case

The same type of glue secures the front bezel, and it detaches at the same time when removing the back cover, because the heat applied to the back cover tends to heat the front as well.
