Palm V 8 MB Memory Upgrade Result

The Palm V 8 MB memory upgrade worked well, and when I first switched ON the PDA, I noticed that the memory registers as 7.7 MB. I tested the memory by storing files into it and then reading them back on a personal computer.

Testing

It is always a good idea to test the PDA before gluing the case covers. I was able to test it on the cradle without fitting the covers first. It seemed to work fine with the new 8 MB memory chip.

Info Screen

This photograph shows the "Info" screen with the new memory capacity. Performing the upgrade was exciting, and as soon as I can afford to buy a broken Google Smartphone, I might have a go at upgrading it as well.
