Sony NAV-U Car GPS LCD Replacement

Replacing the LCD panel on a Sony NAV-U GPS is simple. Unfortunately this panel is an expensive component and often not economical to replace. However if you can find a replacement very cheaply, then it might be worth it. This series usually has a glass digitizer layer at the top and usually it is that which breaks, however, occasionally the LCD layer can break if the impact forces are deep enough.

4.8-inch LCD Panel

This GPS had one of the nicest LCD panels. It is very clear and has very little reflection, which is probably why people use it even today.

The ribbon cable neatly connects to a socket on the main board thereby allowing simple repair.
