Sony NAV-U Car GPS Inside
The Sony NAV-U has a neat construction, as one would expect. At the top-left corner is the lithium battery, and at the top-right corner is the speaker. Both of these components may require replacing on very old machines.
Processor
There is plenty of metal RF shielding to cover the chipset. This is where the main microprocessor and the memory are situated. In the following sections of this article, I have removed the RF plate to reveal what is underneath.
Speaker
The two-watt cone speaker has a 4 Ω impedance, and sounds loud.
