Fitting an aerial

In order to improve the reception of the MS-132BT FM radio, I decided to install an aerial. I decided to install it such that the screw and its hole, which secures the PCB, could also be used for securing a small whip-type telescopic antenna.

The first step was to drill a hole for the telescopic antenna. This hole has to align with those that secure the PCB. It is quite close to the USB socket but still good enough.

Connecting the aerial wire

A new wire with an eyelet required soldering to the PCB in place of the original red wire that was there. As you can see, this new wire then connects to the aerial with the eyelet under the screw.
