Format Micro SD memory card - Galaxy Mega 6.3

The Samsung Mega will accept a memory card as large as 64 GB, however not all cards are compatible, so use the Samsung approved ones only. This phone recognises a FAT file system; hence, this is the type of format required on the card. Do not try to be clever and format the card on your computer, because your computer's file system may not be compatible. Instead, format the memory card on the phone using the following sequence of menu options:

4. Storage
5. Format SD card
6. Format SD Card
7. Erase everything

Storing Image and Music Files in SD Card

The Samsung Mega package contents include a Micro SD Memory Adapter, which should look something like this.

Many computers do not have a memory slot for a Micro SD Memory card. As a result, you may have to insert the memory card into the supplied adapter.

The Micro SD memory card goes into the adapter, and then the adapter into the appropriate memory slot in your computer. If your computer does not have any memory slots then you can get a USB adapter at dollar mart and thrift stores for this purpose.

The memory card appears as 'Removable Storage' in 'My Computer'. Once you see that, you can drag your music and image files onto the 'Removable Storage' icon to transfer to the memory card.
