Nakamichi AV-10 Front L/R Amplifier Board
The L/R amplifier PCB contains the circuitry for the front-left and front-right power amplifier channels. The power amplifier assembly consists of two boards mounted onto heatsinks, with a cooling fan at the front. This is the front L/R audio power output board that could work completely on its own without the main board. All it requires is a power supply circuit together with a transformer. One mod would be to use this part together with a simple preamplifier consisting of Baxandall tone and bass to make a straight analogue amplifier system. Since this board has the harmonic time alignment (HTA) feature, I wonder how it would sound in a pure analogue environment. Therefore, I was tempted to throw away the main board, which essentially consists of the preamplifiers, audio switch ICs, digital board, and FM board.
