Olympus OM10 Will Not Wind - Troubleshooting

If the film advance lever appears jammed and does not move, after shutter release, then the film will not wind forward. One simple thing to check is the mechanism under the bottom plate of the camera. Linkage "B" usually slides in the direction shown by the red arrow. There is usually some grease near the screw, and if it has hardened, the linkage may remain stuck in the direction shown by the arrow. Since the force to return it to home position is very small, it can remain stuck in one position, which prevents the film advance lever from turning.
