How to Open Olympus OM10 Film Compartment

You will need to open the OM10 when loading or unloading the film. Before you open the film compartment, make sure there is no film inside. If there is a film inside, then it you need to go through the rewind procedure to ensure it is back inside its canister. This way, it remains protected.

The rewind knob also acts as the camera back release when you pull it up. If you have gorilla fingers, then you may not be able to grasp this thin knob, and I have seen some people use the rewind crank and pull that instead.
