Marantz CD-330 PCB
The Marantz CD-330 has an extremely over-engineered circuit. The printed circuit board (PCB) has conventional components, and as you can see, it is very crowded. It seems to have a large number of wires connecting one part of the PCB to another. Even with all the complexity, the sound quality is nowhere near that of the Sony TC-152SD.
I bought this unit on eBay and it was in a terrible condition. It had dry solder joints, some of the electrolytic capacitors were leaking, and the circuit reconfiguration switch required cleaning. In addition, there was a layer of dust, making it very difficult to read the PCB markings. However, I was able to restore it to working condition, and it was as new from the factory.
Circuit Reconfiguration Switch
This photograph shows the new soldering required on the circuit reconfiguration switch.
Integrated Circuits
The audio circuit consists of 12 integrated circuits. Consequently, the power requirement is 13 W.
Here is the printed circuit artwork.
Leaking Capacitors
The leaking electrolytic capacitors were in the power section near the transformer as you can see.
Complete PCB
Here is a view of the underside showing the complete printed circuit board.
