Radio Tuning String
The National Panasonic T-100D has two string mechanisms, one for the tuning dial needle, and the other for the band indicator. The band indicator simply places a red square next to the appropriate band markings on the dial. It is a huge amount of complication for such a simple thing, which today is possible by LEDs and digital electronics.
