The National Panasonic T-100F draws a minimum of 32 mA when there is no signal or sound, and a maximum of 320 mA with maximum output. Therefore, it makes sense to keep the volume low if you wish the batteries to last longer.

This radio requires six "D" size batteries in the main battery holder to operate. There is also a separate "D" size battery holder for powering the light bulbs.
