Sony CF-270L Radio Circuits

The Sony CF-270L has a large ferrite rod with coils for the medium wave (MW), long wave (LW), and short wave (SW), radio reception. This is a Japanese coil construction and therefore far more sensitive.

This is a variable capacitor for the tuning function.

Tuning String

The string based tuning dial still works fine.

Band Selector Switch

The long metal component is the band selector switch. It usually requires a clean with a contact cleaner.
