Panasonic RX-1950 FM / AM Radio
The Panasonic RX-1950 AM & FM Radio is very good quality as one would expect from Panasonic. A manual rotary control for the variable tuning capacitor makes a huge change if you are tired of tapping keys on a digital PLL tuner. This old tuning method provides more tuning control than modern radios do.
Antenna Connection
The telescopic whip antenna has a spring clip that mates with a soldered pad on the PCB. This connection can be prone to oxidation resulting in a poor electrical connection and poor radio performance.
As you can see, the pad area is tinned with solder. It is usually better to solder the surface again with a fresh layer to make a better connection.
