Sony WM-FX193 Battery Compartment

The Sony WM-FX193 battery compartment saw one new improvement, which was a hinged lid that remained attached with the main case. It might sound simple, but from a manufacturing perspective, this was not possible before. This is of course an extremely useful feature as many people used to lose their lid. For the power supply, this Walkman uses two AA size batteries. There is no external power socket, for this model.

I usually use a cheap set of rechargeable batteries from the pound store. They seem to work fine on this player.
