Sony WM-EX194 Chipset

The manufacturing of the Sony WM-EX194 uses advanced fabrication techniques. At this point in integrated circuit (IC) technology, we now see an IC the size of a thumbnail with all the electronics incorporated into it.

The LB8115 9UX0 audio IC consists of the preamplifiers, power amplifiers, control logic, and motor driver IC. In addition, it has advanced power management features allowing the player to operate for many hours on batteries. Component Side

On the component side, there are conventional components such as the volume control, headphone socket, switches, and electrolytic capacitors. As you can see, the audio IC requires very few external components.

I just love products that use Toshiba, Sanyo, and Samsung ICs. They have been making some of the best components since the 1970s.
