Sony WM-EX194 Tape Transport

The Sony WM-EX194 has a very cost efficient deign that uses minimal raw resources. The tape transport is very simple in design and extremely reliable. The pinch roller and capstan mechanism is much simpler focusing on the most important functional and reliability aspects of the design. There is no screw to hold the plastic pinch roller arm in place; instead, just a plastic tab secures it at the pivot.
