Here are some parting shots of the Sony WM-EX194. The metal chassis fits into the top half of the case without any screws, as they are using locking plastic tabs. The chassis occupies a very small space inside the case which is a huge change compared to some of the earlier Walkmans.

I thought this was an extremely well designed and engineered product for the budget-end of the market.

Drive Belt

To replace the drive belt, you need to desolder the motor wires, which allows the PCB to turn over. As you can see, the ribbon cable to the audio head remains connected.
