Sony WM-FX251 Audio IC

The LA4582C is a stereo audio integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by the Sanyo Corporation. It consists of preamplifiers, which connect to the audio heads, and power amplifiers to drive a pair of 8 Ω headphones. It has internal switching capability to support auto reverse cassette players, and can operate at 3 V. It has peak volume select system (PVSS), which translates to the Sony AVLS function, and low frequency boost function, which would translate to the Sony Mega Bass function, except the latter is unused in this model.
