Onikuma Model K5 Circuit Boards

LHS PCB

When I disassembled the ONIKUMA Model K5 I found a pair of identical circuit boards within the cups. The left hand side cup has the main braided wire coming in, and many of the individual wires solder onto the circuit board. As you can see, the board organises the wiring, but also has SMD LEDs and voltage drop resistors.

The LEDs receive power through the USB port of a computer, and in this design only the power pins of the USB port are used. The data pins of the USB port are not used, consequently there is no data communication. Hence, there is no need for a USB driver since the headphones are simply drawing power.

RHS PCB

This is the circuit board from the right-side cup. Four wires also go through the headband to the right-side cup, where two connect directly to the driver, and another two connect to the circuit board to provide power to the LEDs.
