Handspring Visor Deluxe Electronic Engineering

The Handspring Visor had extremely high precision build and an ingenious modular design. The circuit design consisted of the main board that had buffer line drivers, and oscillator crystals on one side, and the main DragonBall™ processor on the other side. The cradle interface, keyboard switches, and microphone, were on a separate dedicated board (button board) that connected to the main board. The memory was also on a separate board that plugged onto the main board. By making it modular like this, they were able to make slight changes to the specification to offer a range of Visor devices. If I can get my hands on more Visors, then I shall experiment to see, if these boards were interchangeable between different models.
