Sony WM-FS493 Audio Head

The WM-FS493 has a fixed audio head that reads both sides of the cassette tape because this model also has auto-reverse facility. The four signals from the head go into the preamplifier IC which also performs the automatic switching depending upon the direction of the tape being played.
