Sony WM-FS493 Radio

The WM-FS493 and WM-FS495 Sports Walkmans use the CXA1538N IC for the radio tuner circuitry. This IC is a single-chip radio solution that consists of the AM and FM front ends, AM IF detection, and MPX.

For the AM reception, it has this tiny little ferrite rod and coil.
