Kenwood KR-V6060 Power Supply

Here are some photographs of the power supply components. It has this huge conventional transformer with an iron core that makes up for most of the weight of the amplifier. This amplifier was available all over the world, and has a switch for setting the line voltage.

It has nine individual taps to provide power to the various analogue and digital sub-systems, as well as the power amplifier.

Here is a pair of bridge rectifiers.

Elna makes these huge capacitors. These are 6800 uf / 71 V electrolytic caps for the split rail power supply.

This is the standby power transformer. Near this transformer, there are four diodes forming the bridge rectifier network.
