Nokia 3310 Ribbon Cable Folding

The installed ribbon cable folds neatly under the battery, and is handy for changing the firmware. When the cable is not used, it folds over the battery and remains within the battery compartment. I used a small piece of tape to secure the folds in place.

As you can see in the photograph, the ribbon cable emerges from under the battery. It then connects to the surface-mount socket that was recycled with the cable. The connection is robust and flexible.
