PT2399 Board Links
Board links are of course a vital part of any intelligent design as they distribute voltage and ground rails and sometimes they are simply necessary. Links can also help to spread out the component layout, instead of being crammed close to the IC. To make the links I am using a single core copper wire to ensure good electrical connection and minimal voltage drop. Links should always be as short as possible and straight in order to minimize crosstalk with other components. Therefore try to avoid making a crow’s nest using loose jumper wires.
Getting the links in their correct places is vital for a successful build, therefore spend some time on this and double check everything. The red-coloured link (in the header diagram) connects the analogue and digital grounds together. Do not install this link just yet; however this space is set aside in case it is needed in the future. It occurred to me that one could install jumper pins instead to save time soldering a link in the future.
